Welcome! The Franklin Lindsay Student Aid Fund was created to help students attending colleges and universities located in the state of Texas obtain low interest funding for higher education. The first student loans from the Fund were approved for the academic year 1957-58 and loans are available still because of the $2 million estate of Mr. Franklin Lindsay, who died at the age of eighty (80) on May 3, 1954. The structure of the Fund is based on Mr. Lindsay's desire that his estate would be held and managed in trust to benefit students in Texas.

The Franklin Lindsay Student Loan Committee is composed of representatives from all areas of Texas. Each Committee Member is responsible for explaining and facilitating the loan application process for students living or attending school in his/her area. The Student Loan Committee is responsible for approving or denying loan applications. It is also the responsibility of this Student Loan Committee to adopt policies to maximize the benefits of the Fund, including the maximum number of loans available each year, the amount per loan and the rate of interest.

JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A. is the Trustee of the Franklin Lindsay Student Aid Fund.
